Calling on Your Community

You are not alone.  You can call on your community for help.  Many parents have organized networking groups in their neighborhoods for talking about how to handle problems.  Other parents organize alcohol and drug-free community events and parties.  Your local schools can help – guidance counselors, teachers, coaches, and other adults.  Many parents find help in faith communities and other local organizations.
When parents and youth take time to talk, their lives are healthier and more enjoyable.

There is a role for everyone.

Call on your community to change the cultural norms, attitudes, and policies to help reduce incidence and access of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs here in Monroe County.
